The Heritage Emergency National Task Force, of which AAAM is a member, is collecting information on damage to cultural resources resulting from the storm. Institutions may use the form posted on the Heritage Emergency National Task Force's website to submit a damage report or request assistance. The website also provides contact information for state emergency management agencies and state cultural agencies, with which the task force encourages coordination when planning response efforts.

The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) has a Cultural Emergency Response Team (CERT) to respond to the needs of cultural institutions during emergencies. For those who wish to make a charitable gift to help with the recovery effort, AAAM suggests donations to the AIC-CERT Fund.
